Early Dates: Classic Head Type (1814)

1814 S-294 Crosslet "4"

I got this one from a fellow EACer - wasn't in the market for one since I already had one but couldn't pass this one up. It's about the nicest Fine I've ever seen. This variety seems to come pretty nice though.

1814 S-295 Plain "4"

I got this one off of eBay - a nice upgrade from my previous G4 example. This specimen has full denticles on the obverse and is very well struck for the grade. It appears to be an early die state, without the chin crumbling seen on many of these. One of the most common varieties of early date cents.
