1826 Large Cent N5 Flipover Double Struck in Collar
Ex: Mervis Collection, 1/2004:2017. Description from the sale: "The obverse has a rim break over star 6. Although well-worn, this cent displays strong evidence of a spectacular mint error. Liberty's outline and RT from her coronet are visible within the wreath. The left side of the obverse has incused stars from the initial strike, which presumably was a brockage. The curious depressions on Liberty's profile are also mint-made from the double strike. The date has faint pinscratches, and the obverse field has a few trivial contact marks. Dark purple-brown patina." Housed in a PCGS holder graded VG10
