Darker steel brown, a bit lighter in the protected areas. Just faintly rough in the fields. Weak date, with point of highest leaf reverse nearly under O(F), the best way to identify this variety. One of the toughies, very scarce at R4+, and second only to N12 as the toughest varieties of the year. Ex: Tom Keenan.
